Eastern Video Expo and JAG Awards Cancelled
JAG PRESIDENT’S LETTER:
March 18, 2020
To the Members of the Jersey Access Group,
Eastern Video Expo Vendors and Attendees
It is with great regret that I am announcing that our annual Eastern Video Expo and the JAG Awards, scheduled for May 21 and 22, have been canceled.
For the past several weeks, the Conference Chairs, Executive Board and I have been monitoring the evolving COVID-19 crisis here in our area. We have carefully reviewed the emergency orders issued by the Governor as well as the directives from public health experts urging social distancing. It became increasingly clear to us that the conference cannot and should not take place.
Our decision was made in the interests of your welfare, as well as that of our vendors and staff at the Hyatt in New Brunswick. The Board and I continue to weigh our options for moving forward in the future.
This is a very difficult time for all of us; for our families, our friends and all our colleagues and first responders. You have my compassion and unending respect—especially those of you who must leave the security of your homes to carry on the vital work of keeping our communities informed.
If you have specific questions, please contact Rich Desimone, Conference Coordinator at rjdesimone@verizon.net If you need to contact me directly, please write me at bduthaler@jagonlone.org
On behalf of the Conference Committee and JAG Executive Board, I wish you good health and good luck.
Best Regards,
Bob Duthaler
