Submitting & Uploading Instructions

  1. After your registration has been confirmed you will receive instructions on how to upload your video
  2. You may not change or add to your registration form after submitting it.
  3. You must upload each entry separately.
  4. Entries must be no longer than 10 minutes.
    • If the entry is 10 minutes or less, you will submit the entire program.
    • If your entry is over 10 minutes, you will submit a video consisting of 3 sections:  the opening of the program, a portion from the middle of the program, and the closing of the program minus any credits unless they are part of the program closing; the entire submission is not to exceed 10 minutes in total run time.   
    • Each section of the “Over 10 Minute” entry must be clearly separated as follows:
  5. Begin with the Opening Section:  at a time of your choosing, fade to black
  6. followed by 10 seconds of black
  7. then fade up into the middle section; at a time of your choosing, fade to black
  8. followed by 10 seconds of black
  9. then fade up into the ending section: at a time of your choosing, fade to black
  10. the entire entry is not to exceed 10 minutes
    • How long each section will be is up to you but the committee suggests that you show your program in its best light possible
    • You must not re-edit the program sections themselves; they must appear as they were originally produced and broadcast (cablecast).
  11. All entries must have a 30 second highlight clip for use as part of the JAG Video Awards presentation.  Highlight clips are due by Feb. 29, 2024.
  12. File name must include the category number
  13. Submission of your registration application certifies that you have the authority to submit this entry and have secured all necessary rights for the material presented in the program.
  14. Also by submitting your registration form you agree to give the Jersey Access Group and local broadcast stations the rights for non-commercial use of clips of your winning entry for two years for promotional and/or broadcast of the JAG Video Awards show.

INDEMNIFICATION AND RIGHTS

  • All judge’s decisions of the Jersey Access Group Video Awards are final.
  • To promote community media, the Jersey Access Group retains the right to use clips of all entries for promotional purposes, including broadcast of the JAG Awards show for a period of two (2) years.
  • The producer of the work is responsible for obtaining all approvals, clearances, licenses, etc., for materials contained in the entry and will provide such clearances upon request.

REMINDER

All registration forms must be received no later than Feb. 16, 2024 

All entries must be uploaded by Feb. 23, 2024.  

All highlight videos must be uploaded by Feb. 29, 2024.

Payment or purchase order must be received by Feb. 29, 2024 or the entry may be disqualified.  If you are unable to make any of these deadlines, contact gfairfield@piscatawaynj.org
